Materials and Symbols: The Primitive Cultural Form of Visual Art

Abstract: Material is an important material basis of visual art. In the development of visual art, symbols are the product of the development of human civilization. Human beings rely on the preliminary understanding of the free world to create images and statues with symbolic symbols. The description of three types of symbols in visual art reflects that symbols are an important way for human beings to grasp the objective world. Through the analysis of the characteristics of primitive symbolic form, material and symbolic form, the primitive cultural form of visual art is further discussed.
